Basic edition in SQLAzureMWBatchUpload

Sep 8, 2014 at 8:04 AM
Hi, thanks in advance for a great tool, which is really fast.

I am using command line tools (Backup and upload) for migration, since we have a database per tenant. Over 100 databases at least.

I am having a problem during upload. I can create standard edition (s1). but when I try basic edition and do not set performance level (since there is no perf.level for basic), the tool complains that I need to set one.
My command looks like:
SQLAzureMWBatchUpload -S {server} -U {user}@{server} -P {password} -D {dbname} -e basic -s "1 GB" -i {file}
Error is:
Sorry, performance level for edition basic is invalid. The valid performance levels are:
standard = S1 or S2
premium = P1, P2, or P3

I found the problem and I have it fixed but I don't want to release it until 9/10. That said, I will contact you offline and send you the program so at least you are up and running. The same thing goes for anybody else who runs into this problem before 9/10. Just ping me offline and I will send you an updated version.

Hi George,

thanks for a quick response.
I am actually doing a test migration. So I can wait until official release.
