Error: MissingMethodException: Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Server.get_ServerType()

I am getting the following error after connection to SQL 2008 Database:
System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Common.DatabaseEngineType Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Server.get_ServerType()'.

Installing SQL Server 2008 R2 Management Objects did not help.

Still getting same:

System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Common.DatabaseEngineType Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Server.get_ServerType()'.

Hi,

I am really sorry I didn't see your message. I totally forgot about issue tracker. Did you ever get this resolved? I see this error when SQL Server 2008 R2 release bits are not installed. If you are still having problems with this, please let me know (contact me directly through codeplex) and I will be happy to work with you.

No worries - I got it sorted once I installed the 2008 R2 bits as you also pointed out.
