Index Out of Bounds

Sep 28, 2011 at 2:43 PM

Hi,

I desperately need this thing to work. Older versions worked great, now I get an SMO index out of range when I enter my target azure account info.

I successfully generate the script, then enter my azure account info to run the  'Index was outside the bounds of the array' dialog message.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi,

In July, SQL Azure upgraded the servers (for more info see: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/windowsazure/archive/2011/07/13/announcing-sql-azure-july-2011-service-release.aspx).  These changes require that any program using SMO run on SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1.  So, you need to download SP1 and you should be ok.  You can download SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=26727

If you still have issues after installing SP1, let me know.

Regards,

George
